Fifth grade’s busy year includes fractions, Cold War and Cuban Missile Crisis

The fifth graders are working hard in many areas.

The students working on multiplying and dividing fractions. They are are also moving on to a five-paragraph essay.

The fifth graders started a book called “The Egypt Game” by Zilpha Keatley Snyder. It is a mystery that incorporates ancient Egypt.

In social studies, fifth grade will start on the Cold War and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Before that, they were working on the Denmark postcards, but the postcard topics were on places people were going on the school trip.

Finally, the class is going to work on food in Spanish.
